Brief Provide picture post for the two-parter that looks at the domestic horrors that took place in Victorian and Edwardian homes.

How it was done The series was edited natively on Avid Media Composer 7 on Isis shared storage.

One of the biggest challenges was handling the large amount of archive stills that appear throughout.

This was achieved using a plug-in: the Boris Continuum Complete 8.2 AVX for Avid Pan and Zoom.

The rotation and cropping tools in the plug-in made it more suited to the job than the on-board Avid Pan and Zoom tool, according to Gorilla managing director Rich Moss.

The plug-in’s stability enabled Gorilla to handle around 200 effects in a one-hour timeline.
