Brief Deliver stereo VFX for the BBC’s first long form, scripted 3D production.

How it was done The team worked in Maya, Mental Ray and V-Ray under VFX supervisor Barney Curnow to devise the best way to integrate completed shots of Mr Stink’s smell, which was tied to the colour palette of the character’s costume.

Other stereo shots delivered include a matte painting of Downing Street and set extension work.

The post firm also brought the show’s opening titles to life, turning Quentin Blake’s illustrations of a family house into a 3D projected matte painting.

Watch it Sunday 23 December, 6.30pm, BBC HD
