Brief Full post-production including a grade to match multiple different camera formats

How it was done Colourist Nuala Sheridan graded the two-parter using Digital Vision’s Nucoda. One of the main challenges was to create a seamless, consistent grade matching multiple camera formats shot on the Canon C300, Sony AS7, Arri Alexa, Go Pro and DJI Osmo. The play areas were saturated to look optimistic to contrast with the muted atmospheres applied for the data gathering flashbacks. Pete Rowe mixed the audio using ProTools 12 on an Avid S6 console, utilising iZotope RX6 plugins and EQs to clean up the dialogues for the four-year olds, recorded on clip mics. Rowe established textured and rich soundscapes to complement the beautiful locations and scenery shot on the Arri Alexa. It was post produced by Kelly Giles.
