Onsight and SGO Mistika have been shortlisted for the IBC2011 Innovation Awards for the stereo 3D post production of Flying Monsters 3D with David Attenborough.

Onsight networked two SGO Mistika systems together to meet Sky and 3D IMAX demands for multiple format deliveries of the natural history programme.

Simon Craddock, chief executive of London-based Onsight, said:  “SGO’s Mistika has allowed us to provide the best stereo 3D workflow solution in the UK, and has revolutionised the way Onsight post produces stereo 3D, which is opening opportunities for film-makers to create future exciting content.”

The other finalists in the content creation category of the awards include Russia’s state-owned news agency RIA Novosti’s YouReporter web portal; Dorna Sports and technology partner Grass Valley for coverage of MotoGP; CNBC and technology partners Unreel with Brainstorm and Motion Analysis for the channel’s on-screen 3D graphics environment.

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday 11 September at the IBC show in Amsterdam.
