Panasonic today launched an integrated twin-lens 2D/3D camcorder.
The HDC-Z10000 “bridges the gap between the amateur and professional user”, according to the Japanese manufacturer.
It is compatible with the AVCHD 3D progressive standard and features a double 3MOS System for recording 1920x1080-50p 2D and 3D images.
Two 3MOS sensors have an effective pixel count of 6.57 megapixels, or 6.21 megapixels when shooting in 3D.
Two large-diameter F1.5 lenses independently mounted on the left and right are treated with nano surface coating to reduce ghosting and flare.
In addition to built-in microphones for recording Dolby 5.1 sound, the HDC-Z10000 features two XLR audio inputs with a 48-V phantom power supply for external microphone use.
