Parthenon Entertainment has teamed up with library firm OmniMovi as it seeks to monetise its archive of programmes.

OmniMovi has selected 2,000 HD clips from nearly 600 factual programmes covering genres such as nature, science and history.

Parthenon Entertainment chief executive Carl Hall said: “Working with OmniMovi has opened a new and valuable resource for the company, enabling us to access all our archive HD content in a fully searchable and usable capacity.”

Metadata and keywords have been attached to each clip, with the footage to be distributed via OmniMovi’s network of stock libraries for use by producers, advertising agencies and websites.

OmniMovi managing director Ann Garner said Parthenon was the first UK distributor it had approached. “It was a natural fit for us to extend its library of footage to the market.”
