Brief Provide post-production services for the Jonathan Ross-fronted doc about Hitchcock’s early years. How it was done The online edit was completed by David Frisby, who used Avid

Symphony, including the software’s Pan and Zoom effect, and Boris Continuum Complete Noise Reduction to improve the archive material.

A SpectraMatte chroma key effect was used to match shots of driving scenes, and a rear-projection background image was used to create a period look. Colourist Tim O’Brien graded

the documentary using Baselight.

He used stylised flashback sequences of Hitchcock’s childhood to contrast with the main body of the show. Dubbing mixer Richard Ashley used ProTools to create the final audio mix.
