Co-chair of The Farm Group Nicky Sargent and Goldcrest managing director Patrick Malone will kick off the discussions in the Post Production Theatre at the Media Production Show.

Sargent and Malone are among the industry leaders who will take part in the ‘State of the Nation’ panel discussion about post-production in the spheres of film, TV and commercials. They will discuss the current post-production landscape, the UK’s position in the worldwide post community and share their thoughts on what the future holds for the industry.

The panel will take place on Thursday 9 June at 11.00am.

Panellists lined up to speak as part of the ‘Art and Technique of Post-production Sound’ session include Howard Bargroff (Sonorous Post), Cristina Aragon (5a Studios), Chris Domaille (Films at 59) with Chris Roberts (Encore Sound) chairing.

The session will explore the importance of quality sound in TV and film which is high on the agenda for content makers today. They will discuss how vital it is to capture quality sound on set and why this is important to the post production process for ensuring high quality broadcast audio results for any genre of programming.

The panel will also share hints and tips for working on high budget projects to those with a short time frame. It will take place on Thursday 9 June at 12.00pm.

A Green Hippo-sponsored session on Thursday 9 June at 1.00pm will examine 3D mapping. Due to advances in technology over the past few years there is now much greater ability to project 3D images on complex buildings, cars, theatrical stages and more. This talk will take delegates through the process of 3D projection mapping, from conception to show.

VFX supervisor, Nuke artisit and director Hugo Guerra will showcase how his team worked remotely around the world using the power of the cloud, motion control and The Foundry’s Nuke Studio to create the latest big budget, ‘triple A’ game Homefront: The Revolution. The Foundry sponsored session will take place at 2.30pm on Thursday 9 June.
