Cloud-based rights and distribution technology company Rightster has made three senior appointments.

Former Limelight Networks employee Chris Townsley has been recruited to the role of VP sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Julian Humphryes, formerly of Endemol and RedLever, has been appointed content solutions director. He has been tasked with helping content producers, publishers and media agency clients develop new content strategies across short form, long form, live and VoD.

Simon Voysey, previously of Channel 4, Blinkx and O2 Media, has been appointed media sales director

Rightster founder and chief executive Charlie Muirhead said: “Chris, Julian and Simon bring a wealth of experience to the table; Chris in selling global, high availability video technology, Julian in online content creation and marketing, and Simon brings expertise in media sales.” 

Rightster’s software is designed to simplify the distribution and marketing of digital content. 

The company said that monthly video views of its clients had increased from an estimated one million per month in March last year to 100 million views during the same period this year.
