Run VT has opened a second post facility on Newman Street in central London, taking a lease on a building that was previously home to Preditors and latterly London Post Production.

The facility at 26 Newman Street encompasses 4,000 sq ft of space across five floors and includes seven offline suites plus an online and a Baselight grading suite.

It will work hand in hand with Run VT’s 2,000 sq ft facility at 29 Newman Street.

Seven new Avid Media Composers and a second 60TB Avid Nexis, supplied by Altered Images, have been acquired using asset finance provided through Azule.

Owner Balvinder Sanghera revealed that winning a raft of new contracts gave him the confi dence to take on the extra space.

“I’ve been looking to expand for several years but I wanted to wait until we had enough work,” he said.

The firm has also taken on four new staff, including colourist Dominic Towey, taking the firm’s headcount to 15.

Towey’s appointment will allow Sanghera to devote more time to business development and grow the company.

Former tenant Preditors appointed administrators in February 2016, and the firm’s assets were subsequently sold to the film production company ITA Entertainment Group in a prepack liquidation deal.

ITA Entertainment Group chairman Martyn Hall told Broadcast it has since decided to focus on its core areas of feature film production and finance.

London Post Production will retain a small presence at 26 Newman Street before relocating to a new facility in Suffolk.

Run VT’s credits include the Crackit Productions When… Goes Horribly Wrong format and Sex Pod, both for Channel 5.
