Brief Complete the finishing post on the 3 x 60-minute doc that follows nine people who are living with cancer.
How it was done Matt Skilton mixed the series in Avid Pro Tools, using the Izotope RX noise reduction plug-in to clean up the hospital dialogue scenes where beeps and buzzes from surrounding machinery often interjected. He also paid particular attention to carefully balancing the level of music during the emotional scenes so as not to over-sentimentalise naturally emotional content. Vicki Matich graded the series in Baselight, keeping the hospital surroundings naturally bright and lively. Because of the different locations used, match grading was required to even out the overall look and help the fl ow of transitions.
