Brief Post on a 60-minute doc that relives one of the most iconic moments in football history: the 1986 World Cup quarter-final between England and Argentina.

How it was done The film combines interview set-ups and a table discussion, shot mainly on a Sony F55 in S-Log3, with archive footage from the 1986 World Cup. The challenge for colourist Kenny Gibb in Baselight was to balance the different cameras that were used to capture footage of contributors watching a re-run of the game and to bring out the detail of the in-camera projection. Online editor Julian Nelson then used Avid Symphony to treat the archive and add highlights to key moments. John Paul Sutherland mixed the audio using Avid Pro Tools and an S6 Console, balancing multiple atmos effects while being sensitive to the source footage.
