How it was done Colourist Asa Shoul and director of photography Mike Eley enhanced the design and cinematography to show Jefferies’ journey from a serene and ordered world to one of chaos. Shoul used a Farrow & Ball-esque palette of subtle, muted tones to reflect Jefferies’ life before the murder, through to vile greens and contaminated whites afterwards. To add emphasis to the change in Jefferies’ world, Eley limited camera movement to the hand-held scenes in the police station.
