The board of trade body UK Screen Association has appointed Sarah Mackey as chief executive.

Mackey, who has been acting chief executive since August last year, replaces Gaynor Davenport.

Prior to her UK Screen Association role, Mackey was director of strategy at BBC Studios and Post Production.

She said: “Our membership comprises a wealth of creativity and expertise, which is crucial to the economic success of the wider industry.

“I’m very proud to represent them all.”

Chairman Steve Norris added: “In making this appointment, the entire board was genuinely delighted to be able to secure someone of Sarah’s experience and ability to work on behalf of the whole sector.

“We all look forward to taking on the challenges of the coming year with her at the helm.”

UK Screen Association represents and promotes service companies working in film, commercials and television in the UK.
