UTV has announced plans to leave its current home in Havelock House in Belfast and relocate to a new purposebuilt facility that will include HD news studios.

The move is scheduled to happen in 2018, once a suitable location has been found.

UTV head of news and programmes Terry Brennan said: “The move will see our new HD studios become the most modern in Europe and fit for our future broadcasting requirements.”

In addition, the UTV channel and UTV Live news have both been given new brand identities.

ITV Creative and UTV Creative completed the design in-house.
