Leeds-based VTR North has recruited two senior staff ahead of the launch of its Manchester facility.

Senior graphic designer Alan O’Brien has been recruited from Sumners and former The Farm dubbing mixer and audio engineer Nick Netsall is joining the post house after four years as a freelancer.

O’Brien was nominated for a Bafta Craft Award in 2007 for Suburban Shootout (pictured) and won a Best Post Production (Craft) award at the 2010 RTS North West Awards for I’m In A Rock N Roll Band.

Netsall joins VTR North in Manchester after a four years as a freelancer on shows including The X Factor and Panorama.

VTR North founder Carl Walters said: “With their wealth of talent and experience Alan and Nick give our Manchester facility the kind of pedigree that will appeal to both broadcast and commercials producers.”

The Manchester facility will open on 2 April.
