ITV Studios’ Kirkstall Road facility reopened last week after a year-long, £5m refurbishment.

The file-based HD production centre will be home to Emmerdale, which moved to the facility from ITV Studio’s Burley Road premises.

As well as the renovation of six studios and two production galleries, ITVS has installed post-production kit including craft and finishing edit suites, a dubbing theatre, a track lay facility and a colour grading suite.

The in-house producer’s wholly owned equipment hire firm ProVision is also based at the Kirkstall Road site.

A spokeswoman said that ITV Studios was exploring options to offer rentable office space for non-ITV firms.

The plan to renovate the ITV Yorkshire building was first unveiled at the end of 2009.
