Sky Sports has announced that it will launch a rugby league pop-up channel in March.

Ahead of the Super League season beginning on 26 March, what is currently Sky Sports Arena will broadcast non-stop rugby league from 22 March until 26 March.

This action will include 40 classic rugby league matches, and archive content such as Super League Super Men, Jamie Peacock –A Legend of League, Warriors Down Under and Rob Burrow: The Magnificent 7.

The classic matches include last season’s Super League Grand Final, St Helens vs Bradford (2000) with the ‘Wide to West’ moment, as well as the 1994 Premiership Final between Castleford and Wigan. There will also be World Club Challenges and derby matches from years passed by.

In addition, there will be two live National Rugby League (NRL) matches on the Thursday, before the opening Super League fixtures on Friday.
