Eurosport has expanded its coverage of the 24h Le Mans race, including broadcasting live on Quest, which has secured exclusive live free-to-air rights.

Eurosport is promising “every angle, every incident and every turn” from the race, delivering more than 38 hours of content. This extends to live coverage of free practice and qualifying, a recap on last year’s race and an in-depth preview of this year’s race (the Road to Le Mans magazine show on Tuesday 11 June). The race itself begins on 2pm CEST (1pm, BST) on Saturday 15 June, and will be broadcast on Eurosport’s linear and OTT platforms.

The live broadcasts will be fronted by nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen (pictured), who will provide an access-all-areas view of the race, speaking to the drivers on the starting grid and providing detailed race analytics in on-site AR studio, Studio 24.

Production teams from France, Spain and Germany will also be on-site in Le Mans providing localised analysis and opinions.

Meanwhile, race fans will be able to access the on-board cameras of three cars via the Eurosport Player, while there will also be real-time updates from the race on Eurosport.com and its social platforms. A one-hour Best of Le Mans highlights show on Sunday wraps up the key moments of this year’s race.

Kristensen said: “[Le Mans] is the flagship event on our calendar and the one passionate motorsport fans always look forward to. I am delighted to be once again working with Eurosport at this year’s event, using my own experiences to offer unique insights to millions of viewers across Europe and the world across its TV channels and digital platforms.”

Across the weekend, 13 hours of racing will be broadcast live on Quest, which will also live stream the races on its free on demand platform QuestOD.
