Jonathan Broughton

Lead Analyst, Media Business Insight

Jonathan Broughton is lead analyst at Media Business Insight (MBI) and is heading the company’s newly developed Insights service; part of MBI’s Broadcast Intelligence suite. During a near decade-long career, his research has delved into areas including traditional and digital media, content production and programming, home entertainment, SVoD, advertising, M&A, consumer viewing trends, piracy, VR/AR, 4K/UHD, sports rights and asset management.
As lead analyst, Jonathan is responsible for a variety of in-depth reports and runs a dedicated team of analysts, building on Broadcast publisher MBI’s wider information and data sets.

Matthew Evenson

Research Analyst, Media Business Insight

Matthew Evenson is a research analyst at Media Business Insight (MBI) and is working on the company’s burgeoning Insights service, which is part of MBI’s Broadcast Intelligence Suite. Building on an educational background in biological and forensic science, he gained an understanding of the film & television landscape through his work on British television productions and independent research. Bringing analytical expertise from the world of transport planning, Matthew has a key role in the development of core Insight services, beginning with the M&A Index. Matthew also contributes to Broadcast Intelligence’s wider research with a focus on TV and Film production.

Jack Genovese

Insights Analyst, Media Business Insight

Jack Genovese is an insights analyst at Media Business Insight (MBI) working on the company’s newly set-up Insights service. Building on an educational background in economics and media governance, he has developed a specialism in strategy analysis and policy development in the television industry through his previous work on at UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom, as well as in his previous role as a strategy consultant for British media companies. Leveraging his in-depth knowledge of the dynamics affecting each stage of the content value chain, Jack contributes to the development of core Insight services through research, analysis, forecasting and the drafting of Broadcast Intelligence’s bespoke reports.
