Channel 4 made a clean sweep of the multiplatform categories at the Broadcast Digital Awards on Wednesday, with four wins.

Indie-made projects for C4 won Best Game (The Bank Job), Best App (Facejacker), Best Website (Sexperience), Best Multiplatform Project (Live From The Clinic).

C4 also landed a fifth award, for Best News or Current Affairs, for the Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields website.

But it was BBC4 that picked up the top prize of the night, scooping the Channel of the Year Award for its innovative approach to science and history, and for offering an alternative and intelligent approach to comedy and drama.

It was a strong night for UKTV and Discovery. The former won Best Content Partnership for Find My Past, as well as Best Entertainment Programme and Best Programme Marketing for Watch’s Dynamo: Magician Impossible. Discovery landed Best Channel Marketing and Best Factual Channel.

Other multichannel winners included MTV for Best Entertainment Channel and ESPN for Best Live Event with IMG’s coverage of the FA Cup Final.
