Sky non-scripted commissioner James Quinn is leaving the pay-TV broadcaster after two years.
He ordered series including Shine TV’s blue-light documentary The Force for Sky 1 and Giles Coren’s Fake! The Great Masterpiece Challenge for Sky Arts during his tenure.
Quinn joined in May 2015 from Oxford Film & Television, where he was head of special projects. He worked on shows such as C4’s Psychopath Night and BBC3’s Life is Toff for the indie.
Sky head of non-scripted and Sky Arts director Phil Edgar-Jones thanked Quinn.
“After two fantastic years here I’m sad to say that James Quinn has decided to leave Sky and move on to pastures new. During his time as commissioning editor in the non-scripted team he’s had a huge impact working on and commissioning a raft of high quality single documentaries and series.”
Quinn said he’d had a “wonderful” two years at Sky.
“I’ve met and worked with some brilliant people, and fulfilled all the ambitions I had when I came here. Now the time feels right for something new,” he added.
His departure follows that of another member of the non-scripted commissioning team, Richard Ackerman, just before Christmas.
