How do you identify talent and develop staff?

We provide unlimited professional development for our employees and always look to promote from within.

How do you celebrate success?

We try to get creative. This winter, we are taking the whole company skiing in Chamonix.

How do you reward staff and encourage freelancer loyalty?

We distribute 10% of the company’s profits to a profit-share scheme and pay freelancers promptly, confirm them properly and treat them with respect.

How do you ensure you have a motivated workplace, especially after failures?

We celebrate failure; if we never failed, we wouldn’t be pushing ourselves. This is where the best lessons are learned.

Do you ask staff for workplace feedback to improve the culture?

Always – both in person and via an anonymous feedback tool called Office Vibe.

How do you achieve a diverse workforce?

We are proud of our gender balance and lack of a gender pay gap – there are more leadership roles filled by women than men – but we need to do more in terms of ethnicity.

What would make your company more attractive for staff and how will you achieve this in 2020?

We are in the process of getting B Corp certification, which is the gold standard in making businesses forces for good for all stakeholders. This includes protecting our planet and treating all members of the supply chain with care and respect.

More and more staff are choosing to work for B Corps for this reason, and in 2020 we will be the first UK visual effects company to be certified.
