Fifth Season has taken international sales rights to self-financed psychological and mystery thriller Recap, ahead of LA Screenings.

The series is from K Period Media, launched by Manchester by the Sea producer Kimberly Steward, and stars Corey Stoll (House of Cards) and Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You).

Recap will be launched at Fifth Season’s showcase in LA and marks K Period Media’s first independently financed series.

The show was created by Adam Glass (Criminal Minds), Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) and Justin S. Lee (Resident Evil), with Glass and Dabb serving as showrunners.

Richard Shepard directs all episodes and exec produces, alongside Steward and Alex Foster.

The show follows a man (Stoll) and his family who wake up every morning with no memory of the day beforem only a video recap to remind them who they are.

Isolated on a remote farm, they follow strict rules to survive, until a terrifying encounter forces our heroes to question everything they thought they knew about survival, family, and themselves.

Kate Laffey, senior vice president of acquisitions at Fofth Season, said the show combines “an intriguing premise with suspense-driven storytelling and mystery box appeal, anchored by standout performances from Corey Stoll and Julia Stiles.”

Steward added: “K Period Media is committed to reimagining how independent television gets made — pairing creative freedom for showrunners with new models for bringing ambitious stories to audiences, and ‘Recap’ embodies that mission.”

Fifth Season’s LAS slate also includes Quay Street and ITV crime thriller The Blame starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth, Playground Entertainment’s adaptation of Treasure Island, and Killing Eve-inspired Honey, which is produced by Sid Gentle for the BBC and ZDF.

The Night Manager Hong Kong, a Chinese adaptation of the original espionage thriller, is also on the slate.
