Prime Video buys Kanal D drama
Kanal D International has sold Turkish drama Ruthless City (Zalim İstanbul) to Prime Video in Brazil, where it will be made available through the Prime Video Direct portal.
Ruthless City tracks power, ambition and family secrets, with the series exploring the clash between privilege and morality.
Elif Tatoğlu, distribution strategy and sales director at Kanal D International, described the deal as a “milestone that reflects our commitment to expanding the global reach of premium Turkish storytelling.”
The Paper to land on NBC
NBC is to air The Paper as part of its November comedy schedule, along with Stumble.
The Paper, a spin-off from the US version of The Office, debuted on NBC sibling streamer Peacock but will now also air on NBC from Monday 10 November, taking an 8.30pm ET/PT slot.
Stumble takes the same slot on Fridays, starting from 7 November. The shows join fellow series St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place on NBC schedule.
ITVS, Prime Video prep Love Island for FAST
ITV Studios division Zoo 55 is launching a new World of Love Island FAST channel for US audiences on Prime Video.
The schedule will include full episodes of the UK’s third and fifth seasons, while Love Island Australia S1 and S2 will also be available, totalling more than 300 hours.
World of Love Island has been available in the Nordics on FAST since 2023, where viewers can watch episodes via Pluto TV, Samsung and Rakuten. Its dedicated YouTube channel has amassed 470,000+ subscribers.
Strand on Honeymoon Island reunion set
The UK’s BBC has ordered an iPlayer-only reunion episode of its latest reality format Stranded on Honeymoon Island, Broadcast has learned.
The digital-first single is co-produced by Stranded indie CPL Productions and Colour It In Studios, which is behind Channel 4’s MAFS UK: It’s Official! visual podcast.
It will be hosted by British TikToker Max Balegde, who is largely known online for discussing pop culture, and appeared in this year’s Australian version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Read more
