Prime Video reshuffles in Nordics and CEE

Brad Morley has taken up an expanded role at Prime Video, with the former senior content acquisition manager now taking on a remit across the Nordics and Eastern Europe.

Morley has been with Prime Video since 2017, initially joining as a financial analyst before taking on his acquisitions remit in 2023.

His new role - head of content for Prime Video in Nordics and Eastern Europe - is based out of London and sees him working with Nordics originals chief Emilia Widstrand Ihd, as well as Benelux & Poland content chief, Kaja Wolffers.

An acquisition manager for the region is also being sought.

 

Banijay’s Bright Spot reality show lands on Netflix

Netflix has greenlit a reality series based out of Arizona that follows a group of recent graduates as they look to start their careers.

Arizona Hot (working title) is being executive produced by Matt Solomon (Below Deck) and Sandy Varo Jarrell, with Banijay Entertainment’s Bright Spot Content and Ain’t That Something Entertainment producing.

The show will explore how new careers and romances develop, alongside evolving friendships and rivalries.

Arizona Hot is the latest addition to Netflix’s growing unscripted slate alongside shows such as The Leftovers, Selling Sunset, Love Is Blind and Age of Attraction.

 

BBCS, UKTV execs join Paramount’s 5

The UK’s 5 has tweaked its management team, with BBC Studios exec Angela Muddle and former UKTV staffer Simon Brown joining the business.

Brown will take up the role as senior vice-president for strategy, operations and growth, while Muddle has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice-president of finance, international networks.

Brown’s responsibilities will largely replace the work of former senior-vice president and chief operating officer of content and studios UK James Tatam, who left the business this summer.

Muddle will work across both Paramount’s international free-to-air channels, 5 and Network10 in Australia as well as the international pay networks. She will be based in London and report into Sonia Endler, Paramount’s head of finance, global content distribution. At BBCS she was head of finance for global markets and also held senior finance roles at Turner Broadcasting and A+E Global Media.
