Netflix extends UK slate

Last One Laughing UK producer Zeppotron has landed another major comedy entertainment order, this time for Netflix.

Hot or Cold will star LOL S1 stars Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade, who lead what has been described as an ‘all-star’ line up of comedians and funny celebrities in an entertainment show set inside a mysterious institution.

The comedy entertainment format wasunveiled at Netflix’s UK Upfronts event today, alongside a drama greenlight from Abi Morgan, produced by Sister Pictures in association with Morgan’s Little Chick.

Witch Hunt is written and created by Morgan and stars Sarah Lancashire (Black Doves, Happy Valley). It explores what happens when a body is found shortly after a woman sentenced for three murders is released.

 

Buffalo Bills docuseries lands at Tubi

Fox's AVOD streamer Tubi has unveiled a five-episode docuseries highlighting one of sport's most passionate and devoted fanbases.

Just One Before I Die, directed by Addison Henderson (Givers of Death) and former journalist Kevin Polowy (Kid Gloves), explores the history and hopes of fans of the Buffalo Bills NFL team.

The docuseries features interviews with Chad Michael Murray, Dion Dawkins and Ryan Fitzpatrick among numerous others, and drops Wednesday, 21 October.

The show was created by Henderson and Polowy alongside Clayton Polowy, who also serve as executive producers under their AKC Film Productions banner. The deal with Tubi was brokered by Mac Cappucino, Fulwell's Jamal Henderson and Tubi's Ian Nelson.

 

Anna Pigeon lands on UKTV

UKTV, Disney+ in Portugal and Pickbox in the Balkans are among buyers of Cineflix Rights' crime procedural Anna Pigeon ahead of Mipcom.

The show, produced for USA Network and Bell Media, will debut 6 October on UKTV's U&Drama, with SBS (Belgium), Canal+ (Czech Republic and Slovakia) and TET (Latvia) also among those acquiring.

Anna Pigeon is based on Nevada Barr's novels and debuted as the number one new US cable scripted series premiere in 2026. It is produced by Cineflix and Seven24 Films. Cineflix Rights handles sales outside the US.
