Sphere Abacus unveils French trio

UK-based distributor Sphere Abacus is representing three French-language dramas for international sales ahead of upcoming Series Mania.

Annie & Joey, produced by Zone3, is a romantic dramedy created by Julie Hivon that premieres on Séries Plus (Corus) on 8 April.

Young adult drama M’infiltrer dans ta Vie (Getting Under Your Skin), produced by Zone3 and premiering on TV5Unis on 27 March, and Je te Tiens (Take Care), produced by Passez Go for Bell Media’s Crave and launching in autumn, are both created by Simon Boulerice.

The trio will be featured in the Coming Next from Québec session at Series Mania on 25 March. In related news, hit UK comedy Small Prophets - produced by Treasure Trove Productions and Blue House Productions, with Sphere Abacus selling globally - has been selected for the International Panorama competition at Series Mania.

 

Sky experiments with Bright Entertainment

UK indie Bright Entertainment has landed a relationship experiment show for Sky, aiming to rebuild connections between long-term couples.

The 100 Day Split will follow six couples who have been together since they were young and have reached a crossroads. They will take on a challenge to live apart and put their individual needs and passions first over 100 days.

They are encouraged to reflect on their relationship, understand how they can reconnect and determine their future as a couple.

Casting is underway for the 12-part series which will begin filming this summer for TX next year. Read more

 

Banijay strikes Wildbrain pact

Banijay Kids & Family has unveiled an expanded partnership with WildBrain to share content across YouTube channels.

Under the deal, WildBrain will use its YouTube network to host a range of Banijay Kids & Family titles, with access to sell direct advertising inventory through its in-house Media Solutions team.

The deal also sees Banijay Kids & Family Digital hosting select WildBrain properties across its own ZeeKay network.

Banijay Kids & Family titles heading to WildBrain include Totally Spies! and LoliRock.
