Banijay unveils Mipcom slate
Banijay Entertainment has unveiled its first combined slate for Mipcom following the deal to acquire All3Media, with legal drama Reputation and psychological thriller Maya sitting alongside reality culinary competition format 100 Knives.
The shows are joined by celebrity competition format Last One Standing, factual format One Born Every Minute and veteran formats including The Traitors, Survivor, Fear Factor and The Circle.
Cathy Payne, chief exec at Banijay Rights, said Mipcom would offer "the first opportunity to unite the full force of our creative talent, standout catalogue and exceptional pipeline of new IP."
Other scripted shows on the slate include Open Water and factual drama The Murder of Mr. Moonlight, while format duo The Million Dollar Idea and Date Knight are joined by factual series such as A Beautiful Obsession.
Comedy director exits Tiger Aspect
Tiger Aspect’s creative director of comedy Tom Jordan has stepped down from the Banijay UK label after almost two years, Broadcast can reveal.
In a note sent to staff, the super-indie’s UK chief executive Patrick Holland described Jordan as “having developed an impressive development slate of new IP from the ground up” and ”a key member of the team that got the new Inbetweeners movie off the ground”.
“Tom is keen to step away from the day-to-day runnings of a company and get back to his happy place in the creative process. Tom will continue to develop his own slate as an executive producer.”
Jordan joined Tiger Aspect as creative director in April 2024 from BBC Studios, where he was an exec producer on comedy Here We Go.
