Scripted series and remakes of formats such as The Traitors among 55 local shows revealed by Amazon-owned streamer

Amazon’s Prime Video in India has unveiled more than 50 original projects from the country incuding a local remake of The Traitors and an array of scripted series.

The slate, which is being produced across Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, includes dramas such as Nikkhil Advani’s The Revolutionaries starring Bhuvan Bam, and Matka King, starring Vijay Varma.

Also on the drama slate is Lukkhe, which features the acting debut of rapper King, and Vansh – The Kalyug Warriors, which marks India’s first Hindi superhero series created for streaming.

Local production giant HRX Films is also making its streaming debut with Storm, while the unscripted slate includes the Telugu adaptation of The Traitors.

Returning shows include the crime thriller Farzi S2, Panchayat S5 and the second celebrity run of The Traitors.

Prime Video’s Indian service is amongst the highest territories globally in terms of attracting new Prime members and the percentage of Prime Members streaming Prime Video in 2025, Amazon said.

Close to two-thirds of customers watch content in more than four languages, while over half of the streamer’s most-watched Top 50 non-English titles in 2025 came from Prime Video India.
