Power Couple into 25th territory
Dori Media’s relationship format Power Couple has been sold into Finland and secured extensions across Europe, taking its global footprint to 25 countries.
The show, originally created by Abot Hameiri (Fremantle Israel), has been picked up by Yellow Film in Finland. Broadcaster details have not been confirmed.
Dori has also secured a 10th season on RTL Hungary, a fourth run on Antena in Romania and a seventh series will air on Nova in Bulgaria.
The format recently debuted a 24/7 version - titled ¿Apostarías por mí? - across Televisa/Univision’s platforms in US Hispanic and Mexico, produced by Fremantle Mexico.
MGM+ to end drama FROM
Linear channel and streaming service MGM+ is wrapping its scripted thriller FROM after its upcoming fifth season.
The drama, from MGM+ Studios, is the most-viewed series in the history of the network and launches its fourth season on 19 April.
It was created by John Griffin (Crater), who exec produces with showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Lost), and director Jack Bender (Game of Thrones).
FROM explores the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. S5 will go into production later this year in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is expected to premiere in 2027. Paramount Global Content Distribution handles sales.
Gamechangers doc strand launched at Roku
The Roku Channel has ordered a documentary exploring the life of women’s football star Ashlyn Harris.
Gamechangers: The Ashlyn Harris Story explores her triumphs and defeats both on and off the field, and is the first installment of Roku’s Gamechangers anthology series.
It will debut 8 June on The Roku Channel, with the strand initially consisting of three feature documentary films focused on the world of women’s sports.
Gamechangers: The Ashlyn Harris Story is overseen by Sean Boyle and Louisa Lenander Friedman on behalf of Roku. It is produced by Firefly Studios. Sara Rea, Jane Lee, Cynthia Wade, and Chet Fenster serve as executive producers.
