Property Brothers spin-off heads to UK, while Spark Media’s Chateau DIY acquired in Turkey and Portugal
UKTV, Mediaset in Spain and Discovery Latin America have picked up the latest renovation spin-off from Drew and Jonathan Scott, which is among 400 hours of sales struck by Cineflix Rights.
Property Brothers: Under Pressure (14 x 60 minutes) was produced by the duo’s Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV, US and Canada, with Groupe TVA-owned Casa in Canada and Nelonen in Finland among other buyers.
The series has also been acquired by AMC Living (Iberia), Mediaset (Spain), Canal+ Polska’s Domo Channel (Poland), AMC Networks’ Spektrum Home channel in Hungary and Talit (Israel), while Discovery Latin America has also bought Property Brothers: Forever Home S1 and S2.
Spark Media Partners’ Chateau DIY, produced for the UK’s Channel 4, is among other deals struck by Cineflix, with Portugal’s Casa e Cozinha channel and Warner Bros. Discovery in Turkey picking up the series.
Fellow Channel 4 show A New Life in the Sun S9 from True North Productions has been picked up by Nelonen, and TV2 Denmark has acquired supersized renovation show Help! We Bought A Village (S1-3), also from True North.
Among a slew of other deals, Disney’s Dutch platform 24 Kitchen picked up Ainsley’s Taste of the Bahamas, produced by longstanding Cineflix partner Rock Oyster Media for ITV, with Sky in Germany and Talpa in the Netherlands adding S7 of long-running Australian series Inside Taronga Zoo.
