The culture, media and sport select committee has finalised plans for its enquiry into the axing of News at Ten. Entitled Whatever Happened to News at Ten?, the committee has asked for interested parties to submit written evidence on the impact of the changes by 28 February. It asks for submissions to address a number of issues, including the impact of the news move on: ITV's evening audience; the diversity of ITV schedules; ITV news programmes; regional programmes and 'the nature of any remedial action which ought to be required by the Independent Television Commission' if ITV is found to have failed to meet its pre-News at Ten axing commitments.
