Aoife O’Gorman joined Studio Lambert as its first development intern and three years later became its youngest permanent member of staff at the age of 26.

Now a development producer, her recent CV includes a hot streak of mega formats from The Traitors and Squid Game: the Challenge to ITV’s upcoming version of The Golden Elevators, Netflix’s Monopoly and Prime Video’s Fallout Shelter.

While her day job is in development, Aoife has made a point of working on productions at least once a year to understand how the formats she’s developing shift on location, feeding her insights back into the development-to-delivery process.

“Aoife has become central to both our development and production efforts, expertly dividing her time between the two,” says Studio Lambert chief creative officer Tim Harcourt, who hails her populist instincts and ability to develop mainstream format ideas with scale.

“Her pitch presentations are legendary, her knowledge of the market is first-class, and her challenges have lit up Ardross Castle and the Squid Game dorm. She’s the calm, creative presence that expedites our ideas from good to brilliant.”

Aoife is also an active member of Studio Lambert’s Diversity Steering Group and regularly mentors runners and researchers and guest lectures at the National Film and Television School.

“These experiences allow me to share practical insight into the industry and help demystify pathways into unscripted television,” Aoife says. “This work is hugely important to me and reflects my commitment to helping build a more open, diverse and representative industry.”
