BBC1's Doctor Who and ITV1's Britain's Got Talent predictably raked in the viewers over the Easter holiday, but the spin-offs from those shows also proved to be strong performers for their respective digital channels.

BBC3 prospered with Doctor Who Confidential, which took a look at the making of the Easter special Planet of the Dead. Clearly a must for ardent Doctor Who fans, the 50-minute show at 8.30pm managed a robust 465,000/2.2%.

ITV2 also capitalised on the strong performance of ITV1's Britain's Got Talent, with Britain's Got More Talent. The hour-long show, which aired at 9.15pm, entertained 1.3 million/6.7%, with another 112,000 watching an hour later on ITV2+1. Both channels were given a run for their money by the second instalment of Dave's new Red Dwarf trilogy, which averaged 937,000/4.5% at 9pm, with 303,000 watching on the time-shifted Dave Ja Vu.
