‘An exceptional small indie run with care, diligence, creativity and skill by a brilliant all-female leadership team’
Rapidly establishing itself as one of the UK’s most ambitious emerging indies, Love Monday’s output has demonstrated its breadth, diversity and ambition.
Led by an all-female senior team, the company boasts recent highlights including ITV feature doc Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors, where her Majesty met with survivors of domestic abuse. The Queen herself commented on how pleased and impressed she was to have an all-women crew on the project. Tackling this urgent issue, the film demonstrates the power TV has to raise awareness and inspire change.
Love Monday’s royal expertise can also be found through The Royal Beat, True Royalty TV and on Amazon Prime in the US.
The label has also demonstrated agility in the fast turnaround space with shows such as William and Harry: Love & Betrayal for Channel 5, turned its hand to cultural programming with Sky Arts’ Backstage With The London Philharmonic Orchestra and is expanding into AFP’s with Fern Britton: Inside the Vets for ITV.
Judges also praised Love Monday’s commitment to nurturing new talent, including taking on an assistant producer on the ScreenSkills scheme.
Sky’s executive director Phil Edgar-Jones surmised the Love Monday team as “an exceptional small indie run with care, diligence, creativity and skill by a brilliant all-female leadership team,” in a testimonial, capturing the label’s genuine ambition, warmth and range.
