Six-part drama sold by DCD Media Rights ahead of Mipcom
ITV and US streamer Acorn TV have struck pre-sale deals for crime drama The Last to Disappear ahead of Mipcom.
The 6 x 60-minute series stars Sam Keeley (Task), Oona Airola (Hildur) and Thea Sofie Loch Næss (La Palma), and is based on Jo Spain’s novel.
The story tracks an Irish lobbyist working in London who finds out his sister accidentally drowned while working at a luxury resort in Lapland.
But he soon discovers her death was no accident and may be the latest in a string of murdered women.
The series is being produced by Newgrange Pictures in co-production with Yellow Film & TV, for Finnish streamer Elisa Viihde. UK-based distributor DCD Rights sells globally.

The show is among a slate of DCD dramas heading to Mipcom next month, alongside Australian drama Fortitude Valley and Clapperboard’s An Impossible Way to Die.
