Lucas Green and James Townley among senior appointments on content side of business

Banijay Entertainment has named its senior leadership team following the acquisition of All3Media earlier this summer.
The MasterChef and Traitors owner is led by chief exec Marco Bassetti and deputy CEO Jane Turton, with RedBird IMI’s Jeff Zucker as chairman.
Under that trio will be:
- Fred Balmary, chief business officer
- Nicolas Chazarain, chief legal officer
- Thomas Gousset, chief finance officer
- Lucas Green, chief content officer, Operations
- Kate Humphreys, chief communications officer
- James Townley, chief content officer, development
- Anne Van Sprang, chief human resources officer
All report into Bassetti, with Turton, Balmary, Chazarain, Gousset, Van Sprang and Banijay Rights chief exec Cathy Payne joining the executive team.
The appointments had been expected and follow the exits of senior All3 staff including former chief operating office Sara Geater, as revealed by Broadcast International. While Payne’s distribution arm Banijay Rights has been hit by departures following its combination with All3Media Internationa, there have been few other senior exits from the combined group.
In a note to staff, Bassetti said each leader would now set their respective teams.
“Since their appointments, this group has made a significant contribution to the business, with many playing an integral role in delivering the merger and advancing the current integration - please join me in congratulating them as we embark on this next chapter,” he added.
“We will formally introduce the team across the business as the integration progresses. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as we continue through this period of change.”
Bassetti has been touring European events over the past week, using his Mipcom keynote to discuss a potential expansion into the US scripted space and urging streamers to share the spoils of success with producers during a panel appearance at MIA in Rome on Monday.
