Belgian creative Wannes Deleu also onboard Must Sea Media

BlazHoffski co-founder Dan Blazer has linked up with Belgian format creator Wannes Deleu to launch Must Sea Media.

The company will develop original unscripted formats for broadcasters and streamers globally, but will focus exclusively on creation and development rather than production.

Blazer and Deleu have between them created and developed formats for all major Dutch and Flemish broadcasters, as well as for companies ranging from Netflix and Channel 4 to CBC and RTL Germany.

Blazer previously co-founded Hollands Licht and worked with Deleu at BlazHoffski, which was acquired by Warner Bros in 2011. The company adapted formats for the Dutch market including Who Do You Think You Are?, Impractical Jokers, First Dates and LOL.

Deleu, meanwhile, co-created the Belgian format Finder$ Keeper$ and worked at Belgian broadcaster Vier.

Blazer, who will be at Mipcom next month alongside Deleu, said: “We know from experience just how high the bar is when it comes to developing a successful format. We start with what a broadcaster or streamer is looking for and the audience it wants to reach, then develop original formats from there.”
