Louvre Heist: Minute by Minute is from UK-based Pioneer Productions and will be told in real-time across an hour.

The show will reconstruct the daring robbery and jewelry heist that unfolded in broad daylight on 19 October, offering witness testimony and expert forensic analysis.

Graphic reconstructions will also track the moment the thieves infiltrated the museum’s perimeter and vanished with over $100m worth of art.

“This cinematic-level heist stunned the world, and we’re breaking it down minute by minute,” said Howard Lee, chief creative officer of US networks and president of Discovery Networks.

“With exclusive footage and real-time storytelling, this special delivers the kind of jaw-dropping, edge-of-your-seat experience Discovery does best.”

The doc will also explore why the thieves targeted specific displays, who orchestrated the operation and which flaws led to their capture.
