Peter Grant becomes latest senior addition to Prentiss Fraser-led Fox Entertainment Global
Fox Entertainment Global’s (FEG) expansion has continued with the hiring of Amazon MGM Studios Distribution’s Peter Grant.
Grant becomes vice-president of sales for Germany, France and the Nordics at the distribution arm of the US group and will be based out of London.
He will lead the sales business across German-speaking Europe, French-speaking Europe, and the Nordic territories, managing series, docs, unscripted, animation and films.
FEG has been growing at pace since launching two years ago, hiring Fifth Season’s former sales chief Prentiss Fraser to lead operations at the start of the year. FEG then appointed fellow Fifth Season alum Liz Tang to a senior acquisitions role last month.
Grant joins FEG following a three-year spell overseeing German-language Europe at Amazon MGM Studios Distribution and a three-year spell at MGM prior to its acquisition by Amazon.
Before that he worked for FEG forerunner Fox Network Group Content Distribution, managing sales of both scripted and factual programming across Western and Southern Europe, where he struck sales with Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.
Earlier in his career, Grant spent 18 years at All3Media International, rising to become senior vice-president of sales in territories including France, Germany, the US, Australia and New Zealand. He began his career at Chrysalis Distribution.
“Peter brings an impressive mix of global market intelligence, long-standing client relationships, and deep commercial acumen that’s been honed through decades of experience in premium content sales,” said David Smyth, exec vice president of content sales for FEG.
“As we expand Fox Entertainment Global’s international footprint, his expertise in some of Europe’s largest and most influential media markets will be integral to our continued growth,” Smyth added.
FEG’s slate includes originals from the broadcaster such as Animal Control, as well as shows from its studio, Krapopolis producer Bento Box, unscripted label Studio Ramsay Global, and third-party IP.
