Exec departed Banijay last week having led Endemol Shine North America
Fremantle has appointed former Endemol Shine North America chief Sharon Levy to lead its operations in the US and Australia.
Levy will become CEO at Fremantle Americas & Australia from mid-January 2027, leading the company’s production operations across the US, Mexico, and Australia.

She will be based out of LA and will join Fremantle’s global leadership team, reporting into group CEO Jennifer Mullin.
Levy’s remit includes oversight of all production labels in the regions, as well as customer relationships, talent partnerships, creative development, production slate, and existing IP.
Part of Levy’s responsibilities including oversight of Fremantle’s broader global growth strategy and regional responsibilities had previously fallen under Mullin. Broadcast International understands Greg Woods also remains in post as CEO at Fremantle Australia.
Levy joins from Banijay, where she was CEO of Endemol Shine North America (ESNA). She departed earlier this month after Ben Samek was appointed to oversee Banijay Americas.
Levy worked for ESNA on shows such as MasterChef, Lego Masters and Deal or No Deal Island, as well as international co-productions such as HBO Max’s Like Water for Chocolate.
Levy had previously been executive vice president of originals at Spike TV, where credits included Ink Master, Bar Rescue, Auction Hunters and Deadliest Warrior.
Mullin said: “Sharon’s experience, leadership and entrepreneurial mindset make her the ideal person to lead our businesses across the Americas and Australia as we continue to accelerate our growth ambitions. I look forward to working closely with her during this exciting time for Fremantle.”
Fremantle has been reshuffling its operations over recent months, with long-serving execs Vasha Wallace and Bob McCourt exiting on the distribution side, and Kate O’Connell Marsh upped to lead global scripted.
