Four-parter that tracks former F1 star’s wedding to debut on Sky Deutschland
RTL Group-owned Sky Deutschland has landed a four-part docuseries that follows former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher and his partner Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne.
Ralf & Etienne: We Say Yes tracks the pair in the lead-up to their wedding in Saint-Tropez on 30 May and is from Keshet International-owned Tresor Productions.
The series promises “an intimate and access-driven portrait of the couple’s personal and professional lives” and debuts 21 May on Sky Deutschland (acquired by RTL Group last year) and sibling streamer Wow.
Axel Kühn is producer, Tobias Cullmann exec produces, Annika Blendl directs and Alexander Friedrich is attached for Sky. International distributor details have not yet been revealed.
Kühn described the docuseries as “a milestone project” for his company, marking Tresor’s first commission from Sky and its first move into the celebrity docu-follow space.
“It’s a genre we believe we are particularly well placed to grow in, as building trust with talent is at the heart of what we do. The openness Ralf and Étienne have shown is a testament to that approach.”
Tresor is behind shows ranging from Satisfaction’s Focus as Wer ist Deutschlands Superhirn? (Who Is Germany’s Superbrain?) for ProSiebenSat.1 to The Real Housewives of Munich, working alongside NBCUniversal Formats for RTL.
The prodco also remade YouTube hit Hot Ones, known locally as First We Feast, with Uber Eats as commercial partner.
