StudioCanal exec joins M6-owned distributor

SND Films, the sales arm of France’s Groupe M6, has hired Alexis Reybet-Degat as head of international library and scripted sales.

Reybet-Degat will oversee sales across SND’s film catalogue, TV series, and remake rights for both library and original scripted content.

He reports into reports to Ramy Nahas, director of international sales and distribution at SNF Films, which distributes more than 1,000 titles including Two Is a Family (Demain Tout Commence) and My Wife is a Spy (Ma Femme Est Une Espionne).

Reybet-Degat was most recently vice president of international library and remake sales at Studiocanal, and also had stints at Elle Driver (Wild Bunch Group) and Borsalino.

 

BritBox, UKTV buy Our Welsh Chapel 

UK-based production finance broker and distributor Silverlining Rights has closed a raft of international sales for Love Productions’ Our Welsh Chapel Dream.

The Channel 4 series, now into its second season, has been sold to DR (Denmark), AVROTROS/NPO (Netherlands), SVT (Sweden), Britbox (Australia), BBC UKTV (New Zealand), and SBS (Australia) for a second window in Australia for their daytime schedule.

The series is from Love Productions and follows an intrepid couple who buy a large derelict chapel in picturesque North Wales and attempt to turn the 19th century grade II listed building into a home and working pottery studio, and an event space at the heart of the local community.

 

Propagate pays ‘eight-figure sum’ for influencer agency

Ben Silverman’s Propagate Content has taken a majority stake in influencer management firm, Parker.

Propagate, which is behind shows ranging from upcoming Apple TV+ series Stick to Food Network brand Chopped, will become home to the agency founded by Lindsay Nead after paying an eight-figure sum, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Parker will remain a standalone brand within Propagate and brings almost 90 influencers to a burgeoning agency group at Propagate, which already owns firms including Artists First and Select.

 

Fox orders biblical drama

US broadcaster Fox has greenlit The Faithful, a six-episode drama that is based on stories from The Old Testament.

The show will debut Spring 2026 and will air over three consecutive weeks during next Easter and Passover season. It is based on The Old Testament’s Book of Genesis and told through the eyes of the women whose descendants would shape three of the world’s great faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

The series is wholly owned by Fox Entertainment and marks the first project to emerge from Carol Mendelsohn’s first look deal with Fox. Fox Entertainment Studios produces and distribution is via Fox Entertainment Global.

Mendelsohn (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) serves as executive producer along with Julie Weitz (Game of Silence) and Rene Echevarria (Carnival Row), who penned the pilot and will also serve as showrunner.

Fox TV president, Michael Thorn, described the show as opening “a new lane of storytelling” at the company, adding that the series “is the definition of strong, female character-driven storytelling, exploring timeless themes that originated thousands of years ago, yet remain startlingly modern and relatable”.

 

Nat Geo buys Danger Decoded

National Geographic has acquired rights to Big Media’s Danger Decoded, which explores the world’s most-perilous places and people to find out what makes the locations so dangerous.

The show is in production and is a co-pro with NTV, RMC Story, and Wildbear.

Additionally, Nat Geo CEE and Blue Ant in Canada have licensed Fatal Engineering,a six-part co-pro with NTV that focuses on high-profile accidents. Nat Geo CEE has also acquired extreme weather show Fatal Forecast and Hitler’s Gold.

Other deals include Rai in Italy acquiring Desctruction Decoded, which is being co-produced with RMC in France. It explores the extent, impact, and causes of mega floods, earthquakes, tornadoes and industrial accidents.
