Nippon TV’s Meet Me There

Nippon TV’s docu-reality format Meet Me There is being remade in Singapore following a deal with Mediacorp.

The show is being adapted by CNA, the English-language news and current affairs brand of Mediacorp, and will consist of three episodes that debut 21 March.

Originally produced and broadcast by Nippon TV in Japan, the format follows recipients of a handwritten note that consists of three words: meet me there.

Without any clues, the recipient must find the mysterious location where the sender will be waiting. Both recipient and sender retrace their shared history through the show, as memories resurface and emotions run high, before they are reunited.

The deal is the latest collaboration between Nippon TV and CNA, which have previously worked together on a local version of Japan’s hit format Old Enough!.

Raku Iizuka, Nippon TV format sales exec, said: “The universal emotions of love, timing, and destiny make this story perfect for adaptation and I am confident that the Singaporean version will touch viewers’ hearts and even help remind them of their precious relationships.”
