Distribution platform had been shuttered in 2023
Online content distribution platform Vuulr is returning to the international market ahead of Mipcom, with its co-founder back with the company.
Ben Flint, who co-founded Vuulr in 2018, has returned to the new business as chief commercial officer and is re-launching the platform three years after it closed having failed to secure institutional investment.

The newly relaunched business comes after that company’s assets were acquired by Silvia Kusnirova and her investment partner, Peter Lukes, in late 2025.
The relaunched company is known formally as Vuulr USA and is based out of Florida, with Flint working alongside former co-founder Chris Drumgoole and former partner Marc Rashba.
Drumgoole is now on board as an advisor alongside Rashba, the latter focusing on business development for the Americas. Former chief exec Ian McKee left the business in 2023 when it closed and is not part of the new team.
The relaunched company’s board is chaired by Kusnirova, one of the original investors in Vuulr, aims to be a full end-to-end rights transaction platform. AI automation will be used to assist processes ranging from targeted discovery to localised delivery. IP on offer includes traditional programming, as well as creator content and microdramas.
Flint said: “The original Vuulr was built around an idea that was arguably ahead of its time: that the international content industry needed its own e-commerce infrastructure. What has changed today is the market around us. Buyers and sellers are under pressure to move faster, find new opportunities, and extract more value from every piece of content they own.
“We’ve had an extraordinary opportunity to start again with everything we learned from the first Vuulr, but without being constrained by it. We are building for the industry as it exists now – and, importantly, for where we believe it is going next.”
Kusnirova added: “Broadcasters, platforms, distributors and producers are operating under unprecedented pressure to do more with less; buyers are searching across a much wider universe of content; rights owners are looking for new ways to monetise catalogues, and creator-led and new forms of content are entering the professional marketplace.
“When you factor in how AI can enhance workflows, accelerate discovery, promotion and communication - for example, matching clients with content - the opportunity today is considerably greater than it was when Vuulr first entered the market.”
The new Vuulr platform will officially launch at Mipcom in October. Its existing global network includes about 15,000 customers.
