LA and London-based Pacesetter Productions has appointed Black Mirror producer Mark Kinsella and former House Productions exec Louise Sutton to new roles at the Jessica Rhoades-led company, Broadcast International has learned.

Kinsella becomes head of production in London for Pacesetter, while Sutton is exec producer at the company, which has a first-look deal at A24.

Both execs worked with Rhoades on Netflix’s Black Mirror, on which she is an exec producer.

Kinsella has been in-house at Pacesetter since 2024 and was supervising producer on the show’s seventh season, having gained credits on series including Great Expectations for FX and BBC, and Netflix duo Anatomy of a Scandal and White Lines.

Sutton is executive producer on Jesse McKeown’s untitled Newfoundland project for Netflix and was producer on Black Mirror’s S7 episode Eulogy. She previously led the House North office.

The duo will work with LA counterpart, Alison Mo Massey, as the company looks to expand the UK side of its transatlantic operation.

Pacesetter was founded in 2018 by Rhoades, who has been behind Emilia Clarke-starring Ponies for Peacock and has an as-yet untitled Charlie Brooker project in the works with Netflix.

Shows in development include an erotic thriller starring Mandy Moore titled Teach Me, as well as an adaptation of his murder mystery novel series Murdle, which is with Amazon MGM Studios.

Rhoades, whose credits range from Sharp Objects to Station Eleven, said the duo’s “exceptional track record of working with world-class talent” would be “invaluable” to the company.

“Alongside Alison Mo Massey, they represent the kind of thoughtful leadership that continues to shape and strengthen our growing company,” she added.

Kinsell continued: “After the past few years working closely with Jessica and the team on Black Mirror, I’m thrilled to now also be collaborating with our brilliant Pacesetter U.S colleagues.

“These are such exciting times as we expand our work on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond, continuing to build a truly global team.”

Sutton added: “A truly talent-led company that puts writers at the forefront of everything it does feels like my natural home and I can’t wait for people to see the amazing work we have been doing. On top of that, I get to work with people whom I respect, admire and like, and who make me laugh every single day.”
