Vanessa Case to oversee programming for government-backed media organisation
Former Paramount+ and Vice Media exec Vanessa Case has joined Canada’s TVO Media Education Group to oversee its content.

Case, who becomes vice president of media at the Toronto-based company, will lead programming and editorial strategy for TVO, reporting into chief exec Pary Bell.
Her remit covers development, commissioning, acquisition and performance across children’s content, documentaries, podcasts, and current affairs.
TVO is a non-profit agency of the Ontario ministry of education and operates English-language networks, which must be carried on local pay TV services, as well as streamers.
Case, who takes up the role immediately, was most recently vice president of content strategy for Paramount+ and Pluto TV in Canada. She oversaw third-party acquisitions, originals and windowing, leaving in October as the US studio restructured its operations in Canada.
Prior to that she ran Vice Media’s Canadian content studio, joining from Blue Ant Studios in 2018.
Bell said Case would bring “extensive experience across streaming, broadcast, and digital platforms, along with a strong background in content strategy and execution.”
He added: “Her leadership will support TVO’s continued focus on high-quality programming that advances our educational mission.”
