Sony Pictures Television show to end after two seasons

Prime Video has cancelled The Boys spin-off Gen V after two seasons.
Gen V was labelled as a young adult show and tracked the lives of young supes in training at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting.
It premiered in 2023 and incorporated characters and storylines from The Boys, which is also set to end next month after five seasons.
Gen V, like The Boys and other shows from the Vought Cinematic Universe, was produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios with Original Film, Kripke Enterprises and Point Grey Pictures also attached.
The producers are also behind fellow spin-off Vought Rising, which Prime Video has confirmed will debut in 2027. A prequel to The Boy, it will be set in the 1950s and follow the lives of Soldier Boy and Stormfront.
Exec producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg said of Gen V: “While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the Gen V characters’ stories in The Boys Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again.”
