SPT reshuffles distribution in North America

Sony Pictures Television’s veteran distribution exec Flory Bramnick is departing the company after more than two decades.

Bramnick was most recently executive vice president of distribution for SPT in North America, leading feature film and television distribution across all platforms.

She first joined SPT in 2002 and has worked in roles overseeing sales for linear broadcast, pay, basic cable and syndication, as well as streaming.

It is understood Bramnick will exit in the autumn to support the business during the transition, with Monica Veiga taking on her remit.

Veiga is being upped from vice president to become exec vice president of distribution for North America, assuming responsibility for all of SPT’s distribution business in the region.

Mike Wald and Jason Spivak, co-presidents of distribution & networks at SPT, confirmed that Bramnick was exiting to spend more time with her family.

In a note to staff, the duo added: “Over more than two decades at Sony, Flory has made an enormous and lasting contribution to our business.

“She has been instrumental in building and shaping our North American distribution organization, helping it evolve alongside a rapidly changing marketplace, while forging trusted relationships with partners across the industry.

“Her influence will be felt across this organisation for years to come, and we wish her nothing but the very best in this next chapter.”

On Veiga, Wald and Spivak said: “Monica is an exceptional executive who knows our business, content and partners incredibly well, and we have great confidence in her leadership as we build on the strong foundation in place.”
